Blindfold Pyramid Tiles

Blindfold Pyramid Tiles is a fully accessible puzzle inspired by Pyramid Puzzles such as Pyramid Solitaire and Toodle Tiles from APH.

The goal of the puzzle is to remove matching pairs of tiles, until all tiles are gone.  You can remove a tile if no other tile is on top of it, and there is no tile to both the left or the right.

1 2 3 4

Hence, if the tiles on a row are 1, 2, 3 and 4, you can remove tiles 1 and 4.  You cannot remove tiles 2 and 3 since they have tiles touching them on both the left and right sides.

Or if there are two rows of tiles, such as:

1
11 12 13 14

The bottom level row are tiles 11,12,13, and 14.

The top level row has one tile, called tile 1, and it is directly above tile 11.  You can remove tile 14, since there’s nothing above it, and nothing to it’s right.  You can remove tile 1, since there’s nothing above it, and nothing to the left or right.  You cannot remove tile 11, since tile 1 is above it.  You cannot remove tiles 12 or 13 since there are tiles to the left and right.

The challenge of this game is to find matching tile pairs that are not blocked and remove them.  Like all Blindfold Games, you can pick the complexity level, starting with a 6 by 6 grid of tiles and progress to a 10 by 10 grid.  To make the game even harder, you can play a three-dimension version of the game, where some tiles sit on top of other tiles, blocking the tiles underneath.

In the most complex version of this game, the tiles are arranged in a 4 level pyramid.  That  game can keep you challenged for hours.
