Objective Ed at AFB Leadership Conference

We were recently invited to present at the annual American Foundation for the Blind Leadership Conference in the greater Washington, DC area.

Held annually, the AFBLC attracts established and emerging leaders in the blindness field. Conference attendees include technology experts, corporate representatives, university professors, and researchers. They come from diverse organizations and institutions spanning the public and private sectors.
There were several tracks of sessions for attendees: aging and vision loss, education, technology, and leadership.  Our session was about Gamifying Education with Progress Monitoring – what it is, how it works, and why it is so effective.
Several university researchers attended our session and we talked for a while after the session was over.  They understood the value of gamifying education, and want to conduct research with us to document how effective the games are at improving skill acquisition.
